Jatni is a city and a municipality in Khurda district in the Indian state of Odisha.It is close to Bhubaneswar, the state capital of Odisha. Jatni town is also known as 'Khurda Road' in railways. It is an important railway junction and gateway to the vast tribal hinterland. It has developed as a commercial hub with a number of educational and other institutions. Jatni is famous for Ganesh Chaturti and lots of tourists come here during the festival.A variety of communities live here because Jatni has been a very important railway station since the British rule. A major chunk of people living here are railway employees.

Jatni is famous for its celebration of the Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Jatni is very crowded during Ganesh Puja as people from nearby places visit in huge numbers for the occasion.Jatni is well connected to all other cities in the state.The NH-5 National Highway (connecting Chennai & Kolkata) runs close to Jatni. The state capital Bhubaneswar is about 25 kms from here by road. It is well connected by rail to other cities as well, like Bhubaneswar (19 kms), Puri (44 kms), Howrah (456 kms), Mumbai (1913 kms), New Delhi (1819 kms), Chennai (1204 kms), Hyderabad (1124 kms) and Bangalore(1606 kms).
